Family and friends have been so concerned about Tom as well as the effect that it has on the brothers and sisters, mum and dad, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, in-laws and the countless friends to whom the Hawthorne’s have been the most giving people over many years. They are a particularly loved family in Armidale and beyond, and one of the most respected. There is not a thing the Hawthorne’s wouldn’t drop to give someone a hand anytime, anywhere.
Well now it is our turn. The prognosis for Tom is unknown. Recovery is a long term proposition and no-one can say how complete that recovery will be yet. It is in the hands of the angels right now and all everybody is praying for is that it is a full and complete recovery. However, as we all know, these things take time, energy, community spirit and of course finance.
Because of a likely long term recovery, Kate and/or Jon may be required to spend long periods of time in Newcastle, taking leave from their workplaces whilst still running a family back in Armidale. Quite often people are reticent to accept monetary relief however, a lot of those who want to help Tom and the Hawthorne family feel they can do little, which can be particularly frustrating. Therefore a GoFundMe page is one of the greatest things we can all do. It will allow the Hawthorne’s some assistance and allow the givers to feel they are helping this beautiful family to get through their ordeal.
Please give as much as you are comfortable with and know that it will all help.
