Mission Trip to Peru 2018-19

I've been given another opportunity to visit one of my favorite places in the world: Trujillo, Peru! This December-January, I and a team of other Christians from Georgia and Mississippi will fly to Peru to run a week-long summer camp for children in the Trujillo area. Our goal is to spread the gospel to God's children and their families in order to further the Kingdom. In the process, we also learn a lot! We spend hours in the summer sun, playing soccer, swimming, playing "jedi ball," reading Bible stories, and making new friends. Although we may not fluently speak their language, we can show the love of Christ through our actions better than our words. God's love has no borders. 
      I'm incredibly excited for this opportunity. Last year's trip taught me a lot about cultural differences, language barriers, and the bond that Christians share despite all of that. As a Christian, I believe that we are called to share the good news, whether in our hometowns or halfway across the world (Matt. 28:19-20). 
      In order to take this trip to Peru and run a summer camp, each of our team members has to raise enough money for camp and travel expenses. I need to raise all my funds by early December to be prepared for our trip. While monetary donations are necessary and very appreciated, I need support in the form of prayers as well. Please pray that our trip would go smoothly, that God would speak through us, and that His word would go forth to the Peruvian children, their families, and ultimately, to the world.
