Help for Curt

Hi Friends and Family,

I am reaching out to ask for your help and prayers for Curt Epps. Over the years, most of you have been helped or encouraged by Curt in some way. I rarely remember a time Curt had to turn down someone who needed his help. Now, he could use our help and encouragement.

Over the last several months and weeks, Curt's Nephropathy in his feet and legs has worsened to the point, he has minimal walking ability. He is also losing the use of his hands, as his arthritis has crippled them. He can no longer drive and has given up his truck. And after falling in his apartment several times and needing to call an ambulance to help him up, he's decided to go into an independent/assisted living facility. This has been an extremely difficult decision for him, but he has decided it is necessary for his safety.

The cost of making this move and getting him a motorized scooter would take a minimum of $3,000. There is a $2,000 deposit plus his first month's rent and the cost of a motorized scooter as it is no longer safe for him to use a walker. He and I have gone over his expenses and income and found that this move will increase his monthly expenses to approximately 200 – 250 a month. What this means is that he can’t get a loan for the additional moving and scooter expenses, because it’s not within his monthly budget.

I have set up a Gofundme account that is separate from mine or Curt’s account to ensure it is used strictly to meet these needs for this request. Any gift is greatly appreciated!! And any funds received over the amount listed will be used for his monthly care. If you cannot give, we completely understand. Also, if you would like to send a card or give him a call and encourage him, I know he would love that. With all that we have been through, God has blessed Curt and I with an amazing relationship.
