On April 14, 2020, Ernesto Oliver Lopez became the first Playa Hotels & Resorts (Playa) associate to lose his life to the Covid-19 Global Pandemic. This fund reflects a grassroots movement within Playa, as associates from Mexico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and all across North America rally to help...even while facing great adversity and uncertainty.
The funds raised will provide needed assistance for Playa associates facing catastrophic, life-changing events. While we come from different nationalities and unique life experiences...we stand together.
The Ernesto Oliver Lopez Memorial Fund will remain long after the Covid-19 Pandemic and serve as a reminder of all that we have lost...and the hope that we found in the caring compassion of others.
