PPE for Philadelphia Healthcare Workers
Donation protected
As the Philadelphia area suffers a surge in COVID-19 cases, our front-line healthcare workers battling the virus do not have access to the personal protective equipment they need to protect themselves.
Healthcare workers treating those with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 cases must take extra precautions and use PPE to avoid catching the virus themselves and spreading it to other patients.
Many of you have seen the low lights on the news, doctors appealing to friends on social media for masks and nurses draping themselves in trash bags.
The aim is to provide protection to those who are protecting all of us.
On 4/7 I spoke with a local Philadelphia area nurse in charge of PPE for her hospital, she states: “…we have a great need for isolation gowns, surgical masks, N95 respirators (for healthcare, not construction, if possible) and nitrile gloves.”
The funds raised through this campaign will go directly to purchasing these supplies and be documented along the way to be as transparent as possible. I will provide regular updates to keep you all informed.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and if you aren't in a position to help financially, you can certainly help by sharing with your friends and family.
