Lucas Estell- Open Heart Surgery
Donation protected
Meet Lucas Estell, a brave 7 year old who loves fishing and baseball. He was born with a heart defect called Anomalous Right Coronary Artery which sometimes can lead to sudden cardiac death. We discovered the defect after he continued to complain of chest pain with prolonged physical activity. To repair the defect, he will have open heart surgery in Boston, MA at the end of July. It requires anywhere between a 10-14 day stay. Unfortunately, this means loss work wages, travel expenses, surgery costs (yes, we have wonderful Tricare, but it is standard and we have out of pocket costs of $3000) and hotel costs ($2,260) as the patient assisted housing is all booked. We are asking for donations to help with these expenses as Lucas is one of five, including two in college. We greatly appreciate any friends, family, or kind strangers that donate.
And for those that do not have the funds, we would be grateful for prayers and well wishes.
Thanks!
