Pour Some Sugar on Lee

Hey Northeast Colorado and beyond!  Please help me in raising funds for Lee Lippstrew.  Music Professor extraordinaire, audio production guru and master, phenomenal drummer, supporter of ALL the arts in the Rocky Mountain Region, my partner in crime running the Music and Recording program at Northeastern Junior College, 1/3 of the fabulous Juke Joint Cruisers, AMAZING husband, father, son, and sibling, and one of my dearest friends and colleagues.

 After being stricken with a horrible respiratory virus last week, Lee Lippstrew lost all of the hearing in his left ear at a gig over the weekend.  After multiple tests and visits with specialists, Lee learned that he has just a 30% to 60% chance that his hearing will return.  Doctors have put Lee on a high dose of steroids.  He had steroids injected directly into his eardrum, and has an additional prescription for six doses of steroid pills each day.  Lee’s specialists are also having him spend the next 10 to 20 days doing hyperbaric oxygen chamber sessions, as they think it will improve his chances of his hearing returning.  While Lee does have insurance, he has a large out-of-pocket maximum that they have already hit.  There will be significant travel expenses driving back and forth for hyperbaric treatments, prescription co-pays, and other related expenses.

 If you know Lee, or have had any interaction with him – you know he is the kind of guy that will bend over backwards to give you the shirt off his back.  He has impacted countless lives and is one of the strongest contributors to music in Northeast Colorado!!  If you know Lee, you also know that he never would have agreed to fundraising on his behalf…so he can be upset with me later.  If you are able, please consider contributing to show how much Northeast Colorado loves and respects Lee!  If you are unable to help financially, please keep Lee in your prayers and pray for complete healing!
