Post-Stroke K-9 Officer Care Fund

Hello Everyone,
I am writing to ask you all for help in aiding my father, Joe, recover from his unfortunate stroke. The right side of his body was affected and he is in need of 24/7 home care as he cannot perform daily tasks alone.
My dad is unable to work because of his current condition though he is passionate about his job and has performed very well at it. He has won the "Top Dog in Chicago" and "Officer of the Year" award several times during his career though he can no longer work with dogs because of his inability to be active. He has worked as a K-9 Officer for over almost 20 years and is deeply saddened that he will be unable to continue this work. His love for animals remains within him and he hopes to be active enough to interact with them soon.
My mom battled breast cancer and is now working hard to support the family and helping me get through college. Her job has been understanding of the situation and several accommodations have been made for her but she still works 10-12 hour days and is unable to spend time at home to ensure my dad's safety. A nurse will be needed to take care of him while no one else will be home and because of other expenses, I am asking anyone I can for help in making sure my dad gets better as soon as possible.
This fund will help to provide help for my father for a full year. We hope that this time span will be sufficient for him to be able to stay home alone and perform daily tasks on his own again.
