Post-Flu Bounce Back

Hey!
First, thanks for clicking and being willing to explore supporting me. And thanks to friends Yoz, Will, and Adam for sponsoring my campaign.
As some of you know, I was felled pretty hard by the flu this year. I was sick for the better part of two months. (That never-ending cough! My empathy to anyone who has experienced this first hand). I am back to 98 percent capacity now, including biking around Oakland and singing with my church choir. However, this illness has meant that I had no income after the first week of December. So I am behind on bills, rent, and my day-to-day expenses. I do have CalFresh benefits, but not enough for the rest of the month. I am out of cash.
I don't like asking for this kind of help. I don't want anyone to know that I'm broke, that I need help, that my life isn't perfectly together. Then I think: maybe no one's life is perfectly together. Maybe if I reach out for help, someone else in need, who doesn't want anyone to know, will ask for help, too.
What I'm doing for myself:
I am just about to launch my new consulting business. I've been going on a bunch of interviews for new jobs to tide me over till I can consult full time. Happy to say that I am in excellent spiritual condition, doing my work, and keeping stress to a minimum.
I have an immediate need for:
Feb rent (900)
Cellphone payment (55) due on 2/12
A loaded Clipper card (50)
I would also be grateful for:
Being connected with potential clients for my consulting biz, singing gigs, copyediting and copywriting work, gift cards, paid-for grocery-shopping trips, rides to the grocery store, being taken out for gluten-free pizza or other meals.
