Protect the Calving Grounds

Donation protected
The Porcupine Caribou herd has been roaming the Yukon and Alaska for tens of thousands of years. Today, they face a threat unlike any they have survived. The US Government has opened the caribou's calving grounds in Alaska's Arctic Refuge (ANWR) to industrial oil and gas development. This is the one area within the range of the herd, that they simply can't survive without.

The Caribou Commons project is working with people and conservation organizations throughout the North America to reverse this short sighted decision and we need your help.

We are leading 8 expeditions, with over freelance storytellers, throughout the range of the herd through 2018. Photographers, filmmakers and writers travelling on their own resources because they feel passionately about protecting this ancient landscape and wildlife.

Our goal is to reach 20 million people by producing over 100 stories, videos and exhibits. We can all play our part in reversing this heinous decision.

The money raised through this GoFundMe campaign will go towards getting the project moving forward.
1. Post production work on a film tying together the expeditions
2. Expedition insurance to cover any emergencies
3. Group safety equipment like first aid kits and bear deterents
4. Website production
