Hola, mi nombre es Luis Estrada. Tengo 33 años y durante toda mi vida he sido una persona activa, llena de sueños, superando retos con pasión y alegría. Pero el 4 de agosto todo cambió drásticamente: fui atropellado y, como consecuencia, perdí ambas piernas.

Mis piernas fueron por 32 años los pilares que me sostuvieron, que me llevaron a vivir momentos únicos, que me impulsaron a seguir adelante ante cualquier obstáculo. Hoy esos pilares ya no están, pero mi espíritu sigue en pie, más fuerte que nunca.

Estuve hospitalizado por mes y medio, luchando por mi vida. Ahora, mi nueva meta es conseguir las prótesis que me permitan recuperar parte de mi independencia y continuar este camino que apenas comienza desde una nueva perspectiva.

Hello, my name is Luis Estrada. I am 33 years old and throughout my life I have been an active person, full of dreams, overcoming challenges with passion and joy. But on August 4th everything changed drastically: I was run over and, as a consequence, I lost both legs.

My legs were for 32 years the pillars that supported me, that led me to live unique moments, that pushed me forward in the face of any obstacle. Today those pillars are gone, but my spirit is still standing, stronger than ever.

I was hospitalized for a month and a half, fighting for my life. Now, my new goal is to get the prosthesis that will allow me to recover part of my independence and continue this journey that is just beginning from a new perspective.
