Help reverse Poppy’s kidney damage

Poppy is a 4-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound. I adopted her almost a year ago after my previous dog died suddenly. I looked at a lot of other dogs, but I found her at the Animal shelter. She was emaciated, in heat, and such a sweet baby. I took her in as a medical foster and couldn’t let her go. Over the past year, Poppy and I have had so many adventures together. She is the kindest dog you ever met. She loves letting children pet her and could be a therapy dog if she wanted.
In January, I took her to the vet for a yearly checkup. The vet found that not only did she test positive for Ehrlichia, Poppy only has an estimated 25% kidney function. We are treating the Ehrlichia with antibiotics and I am administering subcutaneous fluids every 3-4 days. I have also had to switch her diet to an expensive blend that is designed for animals with chronic kidney disease.
I am doing what I can to stop the progression of Poppy’s illness. She is currently has a creatinine of 4.2 (5 being extremely bad), and after more IV fluids, her creatinine has not come down at all. Poppy is young and otherwise perfectly healthy. I have spent every extra dollar I had since January on her care. I am working full time and doing contract work to try to pay for treatments, but I can’t afford to take her to the State Veterinary School to give her the best shot at healing. I want to help Poppy live the long life she deserves. Please help me save my pup!
