Poppy Films

For many years, I have been making short films with family and friends for fun. These projects, which began purely as an entertaining way of spending a weekend, sparked a real interest in film and although I continue to make these amusing movies with family, I also enjoy writing outlines and potential scripts for rather more serious 'real' films. 

It is a dream of mine to become a film director and writer. In order to expand my skills and techniques, I would absolutely love to do a summer course at the prodigious New York Film Academy next summer, to be with people who share my vision as well as learning hands-on what it means to work in the cinematic world. 

In order to raise money for this project, I am making short bespoke films for friends and family, eg. personalised films to show at special celebrations or events (e.g. a musical collage of photos from birth to 50, etc), photos showing family trees (with voiceovers if required), summer holiday snaps set to music, etc.

This page is mainly to enable these clients to pay me for their films and help me reach my goal. I also have a number of supporters who have expressed a wish to donate to my trip and this is the perfect platform.
