Pono Cocoa - Righteous Chocolate

Donation protected
Don't all kids love chocolate? Well, probably... except for those who are forced into slavery to make chocolate. Today, more than 2 million children in Ghana and Cote D'Ivoire work in hazardous conditions growing cocoa, the main ingredient in chocolate. It's time to take a stand and demand change from the wage-thieving chocolate giants.

Cadbury, Tony's, and Chocolove are prominent players in the chocolate industry, but they have fallen short in addressing child labor issues. Despite their popularity, these companies could be doing more to stop child trafficking and modern-day slavery in cocoa plantations. There are over 1.7 million beautiful black boys and girls who illegally farm your cocoa. Hawaii has zero cases of reported child-slavery in cocoa.

We cannot turn a blind eye to this injustice. Together, we can make a difference by pressuring companies like Chocolove to act responsibly and help abolish child-slavery and exploitation in the chocolate industry. Our small, local, collective voice can spark change and bring an end to this horrific practice.

Behind the delectable taste of chocolate lies this heartbreaking reality. Instead of going to school and enjoying their childhood, wielding machetes and handling toxic chemicals. Some of them are hurt, scared, mamed, beaten, poisoned or worse. Before the first to contribute to decolonizing chocolate. Go for Hawai'i Chocolate. It's all Pono Cocoa.

In Hawaii, the land of aloha, abundance and beautifully grown cocoa, we stand firmly against child-slavery in cocoa and chocolate. Join us now while we certify local and foreign cocoa farms and craft chocolate brands as "Pono Cocoa", signifying that they are child slavery-free. Together, we can create a movement that promotes ethical practices and empowers consumers to make righteous choices. There is no other way to tell unless you became an expert....

Pono Cocoa supports and promotes small family cocoa farms and craft chocolate companies by certifying them as child slavery-free. Through our platforms, we showcase these ethical producers and run campaigns during the holidays to raise awareness about "Big Chocolate." Together and with a lot of help, we can shift consumer consciousness and demand accountability from the industry leaders.

With Pono Cocoa certifications, you will never ever have to wonder again if your favorite treat is the product of child slavery (FINALLY!!!). No fair trade organization, including "Rainforest Alliance" and "Tony's Open Chain," has ever been "child-slave free". That isn't what those certifications mean... By supporting Pono Cocoa, you can ensure that your chocolate choices align with your values instead of a European colonizer CEO's multi-million white-collar wage-theft scheme. Our Pono Cocoa Plan finally provides the same level of clarity, with our certifications, for your favorite cacao farms! We promote, advertise and campaign with all of our Pono Cocoa brands.

Really? Take action, now.

Raise your voices against child-slavery in cocoa by helping us end it. Snack with us on Pono Cocoa brands and cocoa farms, to create a brighter future for children outside of "Big Chocolate". Let's support those farms and brands together and not Cadbury, Tony's, Chocolove or the hundred others. They have serious human rights issues. In fact, they profit from the, "worst forms of child-slavery in the world". It's, "the norm".

Check out the Pono Cocoa List on our website. It's the list of all of our certified Pono Cocoa brands and cocoa farms collaborating with us to bring about the abolition of child-slavery in the cocoa industry. Once and for all consumers can know the difference about their chocolate is made just by using our Pono Cocoa Badge. Together, we can create a fully righteous chocolate industry.

Fund the disruptive effort to end child-slavery in cocoa. Pono Cocoa is a volunteer ran non-for-profit 501c3.
