These two stray kitties were brought into our facility today :

The woman who found them wanted to have them checked out so she could adopt them.
She actually thought they were kittens because they each weighed in at FOUR POUNDS.
Turns out they are around 7 years of age.
They were covered in fleas and flea dirt and left bloodstains everywhere they walked/sat.
We discovered Molly has an external mass and unfortunately an intestinal tumor.
Polly has severely sore wounds on her feet. They are swollen and bloody.
She is currently unable to open her eyes fully as they are bogged down with "goop".
This is just a quick first assessment by our veterinary staff.
So, as it turns out, these "kittens with fleas" are adults who have been
fighting for their lives in the wild for quite some time.
A lot of you know how quickly vet bills mount up and this huge-hearted, 70 Year old woman,
who just saved Polly and Molly's lives, does not have the money necessary to accomplish what needs to be done to make them healthy again.
The only other option was the shelter where Molly will certainly be put down because of the intestinal tumor and unfortunately, as it goes,
Polly, being unhealthy, would most likely suffer the same sudden fate.
I am asking you, as my compassionate friends, to please help these babies.
WHY?
Well, as it turns out, these girls are extremely loving and extremely attached to each other.
Look at the photo...they sat like little twins on the stool in the exam room <3<3<3
They purr simply at the sight of human attention. And of COURSE, I fell in love with them at first sight. The hope of seeing them become healthy was all I could think of.
It is my hope that we can put our hearts together to help save these babies from a pending  euthanasia and pay for their vet needs to give them the chance they deserve.
I personally donated today to help get their initial needs met(antibiotics, flea medication, rabies vaccines) so that they were able to go to a home tonight instead of the alternative.
Our vet gave them free exams which normally would cost around $160.
The next step is up to all of us cat/animal people!!
I am counting on those of you who saved my boy Arlo's life a couple years back.
(He is doing extremely well, by the way!! Thanks to all of you!!)
And all of you, my cat loving, animal loving friends!!
Sometimes we CAN make a difference. A HUGE difference...
with a little bit of love and generosity.
Thank you so much for taking this time to learn about my new "kitten" friends,
Molly and Polly!!
Love and Gratitude,
Trace.
