Police Brutality Victim Relief Fund

Hello friends,

I never thought I'd ever be in a situation like this in my life and somedays I feel like I'm just waiting to wake up from a bad dream but unfortunately this nightmare is my real life.

As embarrassed as I feel to expose this I feel like there's no better time than now to pull the covers off the violent situation I was a victim of on the night of May 21st, 2020.

That evening I will openly admit that I had had a few drinks, however, responsibly, at my friends house in the backyard. I realized my dog got out of the fence and became stressed and then left the yard in an attempt to look for her. I became emotional and got into an argument with my friend about the situation so I'm assuming a neighbour had phoned the police in regards to a noise complaint.

I was standing in the front yard when the police arrived inquiring about the situation and then immediately detaining me, kneeling on my back and shoving my face into the ground. I was worried about my dog so I was emotional and crying and mortified at the fact that they were taking me into custody for being intoxicated while she was still missing. Before they arrested me however I had called a sober friend to help find my dog and to drive me home. They just showed up while this was taking place.

The officers did not escort me to their vehicle in a way that allowed me to walk, they dragged me across the yard on my knees while I was wearing shorts, then across the pavement, then later into the car.

While I was in the back of the police vehicle my phone started ringing (mind you they did not take this away from me) so I answered my cellphone to the best of my ability while handcuffed and put the caller on speaker phone. It was my friend informing me that my dog had been found.. This is where the situation becomes brutal.
The officer radioed his partner informing him that I had my cellphone and pulled over, at the end of the road where I had been initially arrested where no witness were able to watch.
The arresting officer told his partner I had been hiding my phone when I pleaded I did not it was only in my pocket. He then grabbed me by the back of my head by my hair and slammed my face down onto the ground, while cuffed, unable to break my fall, and I was slammed face first into the cement. I remember my face being on the cement and my legs half hanging out of the car. I could feel broken teeth in my mouth and I was unable to breathe due to the wind being knocked out of me. The impact of the violent forceful throw caused me to land on my chin and my jaw snapping shut which broke 8 of my back molars. He continued to push my face into the cement while I gasped for air and asked him to stop and if this was on camera. After he got off me he again he grabbed me by my hair and threw me into the back of the vehicle in a way that I wasn't able to sit upright I was face down onto the ground crunched into a pretzel on the floor exposing my open wounds to the dirty ground of the police car.
I was taken back to the station where a paramedic informed the officers that I needed to be taken to the hospital to have stitches in my chin. They held me over night.
The next morning I had to seek emergency dental attention and my dentist had informed me that I would require multiple dental procedures in order for my teeth to be somewhat back to normal. I am permanently impaired. My teeth will never be the same. I can hardly eat solid foods without being in pain and they never stop aching because they are shattered off to the nerve which is now exposed. I had to already pay out of pocket for 2 emergency root canals, tooth grafting and 1 extraction. I am looking at a quoted $10,000 worth of dental work including more root canals, crowns, and extractions.
On top of dental bills I also will need to attend court and be represented by a lawyer. All in which I am not even sure I will be able to afford. I have been suffering from tooth pain and migraines everyday since the incident. Not a day goes by where I am able to go about my life without taking pain medication. I have been suffering from migraines, nightmares and anxiety following this situation as well.

I am not a criminal and did not deserve the violent arrest that was forced upon me. I had been emotional although compliant. I would never disrespect an officer in a way where he felt this type of force was necessary upon me. I am a 130 pound female. MY ARREST DID NOT REQUIRE THE AMOUNT OF FORCE CAUSING BODILY HARM that I was a victim of!!

I am asking for donations please, anything helps, to supplement my dental bill to get me out of pain, and to raise awareness to the situation of violent police assaults.

Any money that is left over I WILL BE DONATING to womens shelters, harm reduction groups, victims of crime organizations and even back to the initial donor if you wish to rather be paid back when all of this is over and done with.
