Polar Plunge Birthday Fundraiser for Clean Water

Following the lead of friends Jessica Sims (Appalachian Voices) and Elle De La Cancela (Chesapeake Climate Action Network - CCAN) who are taking a plunge into the chilly waters of the James River & the Chesapeake Bay to fundraise, I have pledged to plunge into the chilly waters of Indian Creek if I can raise $2000.00 by my birthday on February 16th!! Indian Creek is near my home at the end of the Hans Creek Road, and this plunge will benefit the Indian Creek Watershed Association.

 

You can donate via the GoFundMe fundraiser, send donations to ICWA @ Indian Creek Watershed Association, P.O. Box 711, Union, WV 24983, or you can give a donation to me on the day of the plunge or before. The target date for the plunge is Saturday, February 19th in the afternoon (time to be announced later), depending upon weather and stream conditions.
