Pokemon TCG World Championships Trip

I am a nonbinary Pokemon TCG player from Ontario, Canada. I've been playing Pokemon since around 2012 and started chasing my invite halfway through the 2018-2019 season where I narrowly missed. In the 2019-2020 season I earned my invite after four regionals and five months, with money set aside to travel to the World Championships that August. 

Two years and one global pandemic later and I've moved out, have no savings, and am living paycheck to paycheck with no financial support outside of my job. I have little to no money at this stage of my life. Normally I would rely on selling my things, overtime pay, or sponsors to help fund these trips but with my relationship with my sponsor coming to an end and transitioning to a new job soon, what is looking like a $2000 trip is just out of the realm of possibility for me to find the money for any time soon.

This GoFundMe is really my last resort, and I likely will have to cancel my plans barring some sort of miracle. I hate to ask my friends, family, or my community for financial support like this, but this event means the world to me. I don't expect to raise my goal or anywhere close to the full cost of my trip but trying to come up with finances for this trip has been a huge weight and stress in my life and every single dollar counts. I know extra money is a luxury that not many people can spare so don't feel any obligation to donate but if you do, it would be so greatly appreciated.
