Pogo's Amputation

Pogo is a one-year old Samoyed puppy and was born with a congenital deformity in her front right arm. I watched her grow up with a limp, but last week something happened in her arm that led to her not being able to walk. She was no longer able to sit, stand, or play for long periods of time. I decided it was time to take her to be seen by an emergency veterinarian because her condition was declining. After a long night, I was left with an expensive bill and the veterinarian telling me that Pogo’s humerus bone was pushing through her radius and ulna (as seen in x-ray at the bottom), causing them to separate. She said her pain was likely incredibly bad and that she needed to be scheduled for an amputation.

I went home and immediately panicked because I knew that this procedure would cost more than what I could afford. I knew I didn’t want to give up on Pogo and decided to go to a local veterinarian clinic that mentioned they perform amputations on their website. The long list of costs from the surgery and post-operative care that she would need was overwhelming. It is something I truly cannot do without the help from anyone who’s willing. All of the money donated to this cause will go directly to helping Pogo through this time. Any excess donations will also be used for Pogo. I'd like to schedule the amputation as soon as possible in order to relieve her pain.
