We need your help! PMT Education, a provider of free online education resources, is in jeopardy due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Who are we and what do we do?
We are a small, not-for-profit organisation. We reinvest all of our profits in creating high quality revision resources for secondary school students. All of our resources are available for free on www.physicsandmathstutor.com and www.tes.com , you may have even used them yourselves to help with school work and exam preparation.
We believe that education resources should be accessible to anyone. This means we help students achieve the level they need to succeed, whatever their background. This belief is integral to what we do.
Why do we need your help?
However, our ability to keep resources free relies on the profits we make from running our revision courses. We have been forced to cancel almost all of our planned courses due to the government shutdown of schools and exams and our insurance doesn’t cover pandemics. This means not only do we have no money to invest in resources this year but we are struggling to stay afloat.
We have spent the last few years creating resources for the new specifications, alongside expanding our resources for new subjects and levels. As we have little income other than the courses we may not be able to finish this work.
This summer, our plan was to develop an area where students could personalise their revision and track their progress. This was to include a forum where students could work collaboratively. In addition to this, we want to expand our teachers’ area and turn it into a community where teaching resources can be shared freely. However, all of this is now in jeopardy.
How can you help us?
We hope that after supporting so many of you through your academic journey you will be able to help us in our time of need. We know that this is a difficult time for everyone but if all of our users donate a small amount it will make all the difference to us and the students using our resources in the future.
If you are able to help us towards our goal of continuing to enhance our free resources, we would be thrilled and grateful.
