Save Three Kuwaiti Girls From Imprisonment
We are three girls from the LGBT community and have escaped Kuwait due to risks to our lives. None of us wanted to leave our homes and families and friends behind but we had no choice because it was not safe for us to remain. LGBT and atheists are not tolerated in Kuwait and our community members are often imprisoned, beaten, put into "gay conversion camps" or even killed. We fear that if we turn to Kuwait we will face severe reprimand and possibly even death.
We are currently in UK staying in a hotel and have applied for asylum with the UK government. Because the Kuwaiti government in conjunction with our families have cut off our bank accounts we were advised by a friend to create a fundraiser to raise money to help us in the short-run.
The money is going to be spent on day to day living expenses that we need until we establish ourselves properly or find other means of funding, and whatever you donate will be greatly appreciated and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Because we don't have a British bank account, the money is going to be delivered through a trusted contact (Shariq Siddiqui).
Thank you.
