Our house flooded.

we live in chehalis Washington, which started flooding on01/06/2022. We have never gone through anything like this, but we tried to prepare as much as possible. When our basement started to flood, we grabbed everything we could. But, unfortunately the water came in faster then expected and we have now lost furniture, our dryer and memories that were down there. Our renters insurance does not cover flooding. I have tried to reach out to FEMA, but because it’s not listed as a natural disaster (even though parts of chehalis and all of centraila are underwater and ruined) we do not qualify. We are asking for help getting a new dryer, wood for our fire place or space heaters. I am not worried about myself, I am worried about everyone in our home including our 9 year old daughter. Our hot water tank, and furnace are in the basement but now they are under water. We have no heat, and have been boiling water to keep up with dishes. I don’t think anyone was expecting this flood to be this bad. Even a few dollars helps. Life has kicked us down, but we are trying to make the best out of a bad situation.
