PLUGGED IN a live music festival - COVID-19 RELIEF

Who we are - We are the owners of AudioAssemble.com we provide educational resources to musicians. We recently published a piece about how musicians can make money/ get emergency relief during COVID-19. We saw funds were being overwhelmed so we decided to start our own fund while also offering a platform for musicians to showcase their music live.

Where we're from - We are based in Detroit, MI

Your relationship to the parties you're raising funds for - We are all in the music community but we do not have a personal relationship with the artists performing — we are the hosts of the event PLUGGED IN.

How the funds will be used - The funds will be given to artists who lost income due to venues being closed during COVID-19. Many artists worked in bars, restaurants, nightclubs, and theaters that are no longer operating.

If you intend to withdraw the money, how you plan to send the funds to the parties you're raising money for or use the money on their behalf - We will be sending payments through QuickBooks. 

During this COVID-19 pandemic, we saw many people in our community seeking financial help due to losing gigs and social gathering restrictions. 

We created a resource compiling multiple funds, remote job opportunities, and long term employment ideas. We received a large response and we knew we needed to do more. 

We knew that with our resources, we could create digitally where artists could showcase their talent, earn money, and have their chance to perform live. 

That is when the idea for PLUGGED IN unfolded.

If you would like to donate or sponsor every penny will be dispersed evenly between the musicians who are hired.

** Assemble has committed $3,000 initially, in an effort to give musicians financial assistance. Our hope is that this festival can be ongoing and have more than one instance over the next few months. In order to make that happen, we are looking to find sponsors.
