Channel Swim for Plooschter Projet

After being part of a relay team of six, I have now decided to attempt and cross the English Channel as a solo swimmer. I know that attempting and succeeding are two entirely different pairs of shoes but I will do my best both in training and during the attempt.

However, I also believe that my efforts should not be in vain so I decided to support the 'Plooschter Projet' based in Luxembourg.

It was set up by Yannick Lieners who was diagnosed with chronic myelogenous leukaemia at the age of 25. His form of leukaemia can be treated with medicine but he decided to help others affected by the disease and, through his charity, tries to raise awareness for stem cell donations.

The money goes to different specific organisations that fight against cancer. They invest in research, information and help people who are affected by cancer. These organizations are: Stefan Morsch Stiftung, Fondation Cancer and Fondation kriibskrank Kanner.
