About the Band:
Explosive experimental garage punk outfit Pleasure Venom of Austin, TX, explores topics of love, sex, resentment, and the general "absurdity of it all," consistently blasting audiences with a firehose deluge of fierce femme-punk rock.

In December 2015 Pleasure Venom released their debut EP. The five song EP entitled Hunt features heavy riffs, dancey melodies, and strong vocals.

In December 2017 the band released their second EP entitled Seize. The six song EP was produced by Kana Harris of Xetas, engineered by Ward Rogers, and recorded at The Recording Conservatory of Austin. The next few months moved quickly as the singers directorial debut “ Seize” (released March 2018) and “These Days” (released June 2018) were both picked up to acclaim by Afropunk. In July of 2018, Afropunk named Pleasure Venom one of the Top 8 New Punk Bands on the Planet.

Their latest EP, Pleasure Venom, was recorded at Wolfshield Ranch in Austin, TX, July of 2018. The self-titled EP was self-produced by Pleasure Venom and engineered by Elliott Frazier of Ringo Deathstarr. It was released November 2018 to critical acclaim, and Afropunk named them on their list of "The 8 Punkest Bands on the Planet Right Now."

Campbell's third directorial foray, entitled "Deth," was again picked up by Afropunk in early 2019, and they toured the US with Garbage in early summer.

“...It was wild, careering and chaotic and Audrey [Campbell, singer] is just amazing. She’s so unique. In this climate, everyone is so homogenised. Female artists particularly sound like one another, then you get this wild firebrand and that’s exciting.”

-Shirley Manson of Garbage in NME
