My name is Brittany and my husband Joe and I are absolutely devastated after receiving news about our 7 year old Maltese-terrier mix, Dylan.
As of this morning, he was diagnosed with a herniated disc between the 3rd and 4th vertebrae causing neurological damage. After taking him to the emergency VCA and having him admitted yesterday, this morning we were hit with news that Dylan will require surgery. We woke up to him whimpering and dragging his back legs which quickly progressed to him falling on his face with his front legs giving out as well. He currently has no function in his limbs and is immobile. He required an MRI that cost us $4,000 and now he needs surgery.
WE LOVE DYLAN AND NEED YOUR HELP. We are asking for anything you can do to help at this time. It is so heartbreaking to see him in pain and knowing it's money that stands between him being immobile and getting better. With the surgery, there is a 90% chance at a full recovery. HE IS ONLY 7--MID LIFE FOR LITTLE DOGS.
My husband and I are both small business owners--Joe started his company 7 months ago and I am currently building an event design firm, as well as my makeup work. We got married two months ago and are doing everything we can to give Dylan the best quality of life, but are completely unable to pull together the rest on our own. We are humbly asking for help to help save Dylan.

Without surgery, he only has a 50% chance of being able to use his limbs again and that's only with intense physical therapy/pain management. With the surgery, he will have little to no pain and 90% chance of a full recovery.
After adopting Dylan in college, he has been with me through 3 moves, graduating (twice), emotional breakups, getting married...He's more than a dog, he's my child. Please help.
