Please Help our Beloved Uncle and His Family
Please help support our beloved uncle, and his wife and his children.

Our uncle Owen has always worked hard here in Utah to provide for his wife and three sons, who still live in Peru. Our uncle did not have the opportunity to see his family for 16 years, he worked day by day with the hope of being able to reunite with his family, and finally enjoy the company of his children and his wife. He spent all of his time working and sending his earnings to support his family. On Friday, 6/5/2020, he was working on roofing a large house when he fell 45 ft. His coworkers rushed to his aid and started CPR on him immediately while they waited for the ambulance.
Unfortunately it took the medical professionals well over 45 minutes of resuscitation to restart his heart. As a consequence, he has substantial brain damage. The doctors have said that our uncle may have to live in a 24-hour nursing care facilitiy. He remains in critical condition at the Davis Intensive Care Unit, on the ventilator, and in a medically-induced coma. Since being admitted to the hospital, he has gone into cardiac arrest three separate times. The doctors and nurses are doing everything they can to keep him alive. It is a miracle that my uncle has survived everything he has gone through.
We are trying to get my uncle's wife, my aunt, and his three children here from Peru, as soon as possible. we hope that by hearing the voice of his family he can react, and a miracle can heal him. The pandemic is making this very difficult due to travel restrictions and flight limitations. They were already in the process of applying for their visas to move here, so it complicates the situation that they now need to apply for travel visas to visit, first. Every application costs a couple hundred dollars, and because there are four of them, the costs add up fast. They also live in a rural city in Peru and will need to travel to Lima and then to Utah.
Any money we can raise will go towards my uncle's medical bills, and help my aunt and cousins come to the U.S. We hope that by hearing the voice of his family he can react, and a miracle can heal him. The situation is already heartbreaking for all of us, but we hope to be able to ease the financial burden for my Uncle's family through this GoFundMe. Mi tío siempre ha trabajado duro aquí en Utah para mantener a su esposa y sus tres hijos que aún viven en Perú. Owen es un gran trabajador y siempre ha trabajado duro para mantener a su familia. El viernes 6/5/2020, el estaba trabajando techando una casa grande cuando cayó de 45 pies(13 metros). Sus compañeros de trabajo se apresuraron en ayudarlo y comenzaron la RCP(reanimación cardiopulmonar) inmediatamente mientras esperaban a la ambulancia.
Desafortunadamente, le tomó más de 45 minutos de reanimación para reiniciar su corazón. Como consecuencia, la resonancia magnética muestra que tiene un daño cerebral sustancial. Como consecuencia, los médicos han dicho que mi tío podría tener que vivir en un centro de atención de enfermería las 24 horas. Ahora se encuentra en estado crítico en la UCI(Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos) en el Hospital de Davis, en un respirador artificial y en un coma inducido médicamente. Estamos tratando de traer a la esposa de mi tío y sus tres hijos aquí desde Perú, lo mas antes posible porque tenemos la esperanza que al oír su voz de su familia el pueda reaccionar, y un milagro lo pueda sanar, ya que mi tío no tuvo la oportunidad de poder ver a su familia durante 16 años, el trabajaba día a día con la única esperanza de poder estar reunido con su familia y así disfrutar la compañía de sus hijos y esposa. La pandemia está haciendo esto muy difícil debido a restricciones de viaje y limitaciones de vuelo. Ya estaban en el proceso de solicitar sus visas para mudarse aquí, por lo que complica la situación que ahora necesitan solicitar visas de viaje para visitar, primero. Cada aplicación cuesta un par de cientos de dólares, y debido a que hay cuatro, los costos se suman rápidamente. También viven en una ciudad rural en Perú y deberán viajar a Lima, que es la capital y luego a Utah.
Cualquier dinero que podamos recaudar se destinará a las facturas médicas de mi tío, y ayudar a mi tía y primos a venir a los EE.UU.
