Please Help Cory Heal

As some of you are aware, my nephew, Cory Sean Pettus, underwent surgery in April 2017 because his small and large intestine had telescoped together. It should have been a fairly quick recovery after a month or so of rest, but he developed a terrible abdominal bacterial infection, which then led to a very weakened immune system - and brought on Pulmonary MAC lung disease - which then aggravated the dormant Tuberculosis cells in his body. All of this and a slew of other complications have added up.

He has been in and out of the hospital ever since and on all kinds of medication that drains his energy and makes him feel very ill. My beautiful sister, Wendy, has left her home and little business in SC to be in Orlando to take care of Cory. So needless to say all of the expenses are taking their toll since neither of them can work right now.

We are the type of family that find it very hard to ask for help, but so many of you have offered and have asked how you can help, so I decided to set this account up to do whatever I can to take some of the stress off of them so healing can be focused on. Help with living expenses, medications and alternative treatment is needed badly because Cory has a long road ahead of him to recover. We know that with faith, positivity, and the help of our wonderful family, friends and community - he WILL get better and that big, beautiful smile of his will return.
