It’s with a heavy heart we share with you news of our very own Anthony “Vio” Violante.

In the Roller Hockey Community, everyone knows “Vio” and his beloved Roadrunners Organization. Whether you’re a player, former player, coach, parent, Tournament Director, friend or family member you will agree he has truly dedicated his life to the sport of Roller Hockey. Through his unselfishness, he has given opportunities to so many kids to develop and excel on every level. Not only is he a coach, Vio is a friend on and off the rink to many of us. He has asked for nothing in return for all he has given. Roller Hockey is his true passion and it’s simple, he does it for his love of the game.

What you don’t know is 7 days ago Anthony was diagnosed with a critical case of Legionnaires Disease along with complications; pneumonia. Anthony is currently in the hospital ICU and due to the seriousness of this condition has been induced into a coma, where he will remain for weeks if not months receiving medical treatment. As of today, there has been no change. We will provide updates as we hear. The road ahead will be very long and costly. With this comes a financial burden Anthony cannot afford. He needs his hockey community, family and friends help during these long days and months ahead. We set up this gofundme account to help with medical bills and to alleviate the stresses this brings to Anthony and his family. The hockey community is such a huge part of Anthony’s life. If everyone who knows Anthony contributed, we can make a significant difference during this extremely difficult time. Anything you can afford to give will be so greatly appreciated beyond words.
