Please support Sean and Alyce

In March of this year, at the age of 30, Sean was unexpectedly diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, an aggressive form of blood cancer. 

Since then, Sean has undergone 4 months of intensive chemotherapy at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. At the end of this treatment, we were hopeful that Sean would be in remission, but traces of cancers cells were still found in his blood and it was decided that a Bone Marrow Transplant would be necessary.

Sean is currently in the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital where he's receiving the treatment he needs and beginning a 100 day recovery from the transplant. 

Alyce and Sean would like to express their sincere gratitude to everyone who has offered their thoughts, prayers and support during this time which has been a huge help. Many of their friends and family continue to ask how they can help or what they can do which is so moving.

With visiting restrictions for hospitals now easing, Alyce can visit Sean in hospital more often which they’re both looking forward to.

We know many others have not been able to visit or show support during the pandemic, so we’ve set up this page as a way we can all help by covering some of the expenses like petrol, parking and tolls.

Even when Sean is able to go home, he will need to go back to hospital almost daily for check-ups and tests.
