The Rose family fire relief fund
This evening - June 2nd 2018 - The Rose family's home had erupted into flames. just as Destiny had arrived home and was putting her groceries away, she opened her back door to the patio which was engulfed in flames and crashing through her screen door's window.
In a panic, she grabbed her 3 children (David 16, Dominic 13 & Riley 6) and their partially burnt cat, Pablo, and safely escaped the inferno. The fire destroyed only the one side of the duplex shortly before 8:00 pm this evening. This left very little of their home and their possessions inside. Thankfully nobody was hurt.
Upon Thunder Bay Fire Rescues Pumper 2 arrival, a second alarm was called due to the structure being fully engulfed. A second alarm is a call for more fire trucks and personnel to respond to the scene. A portion of John Street was closed between Clarkson and Sequoia. 2 Ambulances, 5 Pumper Trucks, and 1 Aerial Ladder with a dozen or more firefighters were dispatched to the incident.
At this moment they are waiting for Red Cross to get them a hotel, and holding each other tightly as they try to comprehend this tragedy.
Obviously when a total fire loss occurs, there are a lot of costs that need to be covered. This amazing family is in need of clothing for all 3 children & for Destiny herself.
Destiny is size small-medium top & 26 pants, David is size medium-large top & 30-32 waist, Dominic is a size medium-large top & 32-34 waist, Riley is a size 6X.
