We are very lucky to live in such a warm and supportive community . I am writing this post because I truly believe our town is one of a kind and our community is one of the strongest and most supportive that exist ... and we have each other ...
Unfortunately today I need to share shocking and very sad news and ask for your support.
Many of you know sweet little Rita and her family though Solnyshko, Genius Kids, Doremi classes or from playing with her on the Livingston playgrounds . Unfortunately , you can’t see her at either of the places nowadays .
Last week Our 5 year old Ritochka was diagnosed with pontine glioma- an aggressive , non operable , extremely difficult to treat tumor found at the base of the brain .
As you can imagine Rita’s family is in shock . Rita’s health is invaluable and deteriorating quickly . All of the money in the world won’t change her diagnoses and the uncertainty of it , but perhaps if her family ( where currently both parents are unemployed) is able to afford more specialized care opportunities for her , just may be , this little girl may have a fighting chance ..... absolutely anything would make a difference .
Because of the very aggressive nature of the tumor, little Rita has very few medical options. At this point a clinical clinical trial is being considered with the need to relocate to NYC.
If you are willing and able to help this struggling family though this horrible and scary time we would be so grateful.
