Please Help Us Launch IMAGINE Native Plant Farm

Dear all,
We are launching IMAGINE Native Plant Farm because
- more than one in four of the animal species left on Earth face extinction; 50% by the end of the century.
- because 40% of Earth’s plants face extinction.
- because more than half of North American bees are threatened.
- because there are 3 billion fewer birds living today than in 1970.
Climate change and loss of habitat are taking a severe toll on ecosystems. In the lifetimes of so many of us, we have watched the fields and forests around us disappear to make room for subdivisions and strip malls.
Life on Earth is at a tipping point.
The good news is - there is SO much we can each do, and collectively our small acts can make a massive difference!
In 2023, we started Home Earth Alliance to educate, inspire, and empower people to do all they can to support biodiversity, mitigate climate change, and promote environmental justice in their own back yards and with their everyday acts.
In our first year, we reached nearly 17,000 people with information about planting natives, why pollinators are important, the science behind healthy soil, composting, veggie gardening, and sustainable yard and garden practices.
And what we noticed is that the most critical element of this work - native plants that feed and house pollinators and threatened species, draw down carbon, mitigate climate change, and naturally manage and filter water - are too hard to find and way too expensive. True natives are grown from ethically harvested seeds in nearby areas, not commercially mass produced in far off states.
We hope to change that, at least in the corner of the world we call home.
PLEASE help Home Earth Alliance launch IMAGINE Native Plant Farm so we can provide motivated private landowners - and perhaps one day even municipalities and regional state projects - with the native plant materials so sorely needed to begin regenerating this world - one inch, one foot, one yard at a time.
