Please help us help the Smith family

The staff of The Conexus Arts Centre have started this fundraising page to raise money to support our friend and colleague, Doreen Smith and her family. Doreen’s husband Brad is fighting a devastating cancer. Brad was just diagnosed following a period of some health concerns he had been experiencing for a few months and had been seeing his doctor. By the time he received this diagnosis, the news was not good, the cancer had spread to his lungs, liver, bones and heart. Doctors are working on conducting more tests and scans.
When the unthinkable happens like it has to this young family, they shouldn’t have to worry about money. With Covid-19 Doreen has been laid off from her job as a Client Services Coordinator and now her husband Brad is not able to work.
Brad’s most important role in life is his family – he is an incredible husband and a loving dad to their young son Tristan, as well as a friend to all. His fight is just beginning however we need to help ease some of the burden of this by taking away the financial worry. If you know Doreen, you know she would give anything for her friends and colleagues, it's now our turn to return the favour and help a friend/coworker.
