Please help raise money for our Dallamires Midnight Lute BELLA
Bella our rising 2 year old British Sports Horse has barely even started her life when she had a bad accident back on the 7th November 2020 due to spooking from fireworks being set off to close to her stables resulting in her rearing up scared and then falling backwards and hitting her head hard on the wall at the back of her stable, she had a wound on the top of her head inch and half deep into her head just missing her brain the vet said she’s lucky to still be alive with such an impact to such a sensitive place, she had staples put in where possible to help close the wound, they flushed it out to clean it and injected the wound with antibiotics, gave her an extra tetanus jab, gave her oral antibiotics for 2 weeks along with pain killers and anti inflammatorys the vet came 3 times a week for two weeks to clean her up and it was getting better the wound had closed and we thought we were on the road to recovery until weds 20th jan 2021 when they came to give it a clean up when I noticed fluid leaking from the now back open wound which the vet says could indicate something going on from the inside like something stuck in there or a fracture, she is now fighting a bad sepsis infection in the cranial nuchal bursa so needs X rays, Ultra sound + Surgery at the equine hospital to fix her, unfortunately she’s not insured and after already spending over 1K on her vet costs upto now we can’t afford to put her through all of this which is heartbreaking for such a young horse but the vet confirmed it wouldn’t be cheap and it’s just money we don’t have right now to spare, We are trying oral antibiotics for the next two weeks living in hope that it may work although the vet said it’s very very unlikely but I want to try again if not then sadly we would have to put her to sleep unless we could get the help off all the lovely generous people of Facebook to donate and help us get Bella her X-rays, Ultrasound and her surgery to give her another chance at life I need to at least try and raise money for her and try and save her, so if anyone can donate anything at all to help towards saving Bella that would be amazing and We couldn’t thank you all enough for all your support and kind thoughtful words from the start, so let’s try this with the power of social media and word of mouth maybe we can raise enough for her I can only hope The money needed is an estimate from the vets it could increase if any complications but we will cross that bridge if we came to it to try and raise more but on the other hand it could be less if it goes to plan which then any money that is left over if any will be donated straight to HAPPA Horses and ponies protection association in Briercliffe
