I am raising money to support Army Veterans Chris and Heather English, along with their children, are picking up the pieces at their home in Clyde after it caught on fire earlier in the month.

Around noon on Oct. 20, a fire is believed to have started in a washing machine in the laundry room.

The hot flames quickly spread, destroying many of their belongings.

The fire also destroyed many items that the English family uses for Texas Hunters for Heroes West Texas, a non-profit organization that helps wounded combat veterans with PTSD.

"We make our living out of selling hats and t-shirts and stuff like that," said Chris. "That’s what keeps us hunting and fishing every month."

"I'm usually on the side of giving and helping others, and it's been a very humbling experience to take part on the other side and receive that help. It's been very humbling," Chris said.

The English family is staying at a hotel until they can come up with a plan to rebuild.
