Please help the Jimenez Family

My name is Sarah and I am the founder of Koi Poke. I have been blessed to have the most amazing group of people as part of the Koi Poke team.
Tragically, last week we lost one of our most beloved members, David Jimenez. David was introduced to us by his father Oscar who is a senior member of our team. David and Oscar were more than father and son. They were best friends, they lived in the same home and they worked side by side in our kitchen almost every single day since we opened in May of 2017. David was also more than just your average employee. He was a rock star and dear friend to me, my husband, my children and everyone at Koi Poke. He was only 24 years old...
David was shot and killed on the night of Thursday, February 1st by the ex-boyfriend of a woman who David was friends with. According to reports, David was hanging out and playing video games with her four year old child, when the ex-boyfriend entered the apartment and fatally shot David in front of the woman and the child.
Oscar and his family are devastated as are we all. I am truly concerned that Oscar and Elva may never recover from this.
The Jimenez family is the quintessential, close-knit family of the highest moral fiber. Oscar Sr., his wife Elva, their 20 year old son Oscar Jr., their 14 year old daughter Lirio and until recently, their son David, all work very hard, treat people with the utmost respect, and give nothing but kindness and love to everyone they come in contact with.
I am asking everyone to help the Jimenez family with whatever you can afford to give so at least we can help them deal with the inevitable expenses and other challenges they are now facing, including much of the cost of David's funeral and the loss of the income David contributed to the household. My family has given as much as we can personally, and we will be keeping Oscar and Oscar Jr. (who also works with us) on the payroll indefinitely during their leave of absence, however long that is. But that is not enough as far as I am concerned...which is why I am asking for your help.
If you love Koi Poke, make no mistake, it's because of Oscar and David Jimenez, so I ask that you do whatever you can to help. We will be giving the Jimenez family 100% of the proceeds immediately upon reaching or exceeding our goal.
Thank you all in advance..
Sarah
