Please Help SoSo Good Get Rolling Again

Donation protected
SoSo Community! You are always here for us and the reason we do this (really though, we don't get paid yet)! If you would give me and mine just one more reason to believe in your power, we could move a food truck.
My name is Holland. I'm one of 3 very proud owners/operators of SoSo Good, a New Mexican food truck and a family-owned and supported business. I have started this campaign to ask for a little of your help.
Honestly the food truck is having mechanical problems at a capacity we can no longer manage without our community.
It goes like this
  • The first week of July the heat got really bad, and the generator on the truck shut down during service. Figuring out what had gone wrong and getting it fixed took months. With the help of some die-hard friends, we could uphold some of the events we had already scheduled. We were even on the news (Brandon was So Good)!
  • Unfortunately, the financial toll of being unable to rely on the truck, having to cancel, turn down or not even book, used up what my husband liked to call our "cushion" and much more.
  • At this point as a group we talk crowdfunding. We don't, because I am tasked with it, I am embarrassed to ask, I don't even know where to start. And, sincerely, I believed that if we could just get the part fixed, we (Kitty, Brandon and I) could and would pull ourselves out of it by ourselves.
  • I'm right until I'm wrong. 9/16 fuel pump fixed and we are feeling optimistic! We are back! We book a double! We drive all over the city, we got so much to do. We feel really good about the day, and being able to take back some control of our business (we owe some money at this point). The day is long and hard but it goes great! We drive away from our night service tired but rewarded and happy, were back. As we are driving to the parking spot we take a quick stop, truck shuts down. The truck won't turn on. Not a generator issue but the engine this time. We have the truck towed the next day.
  • At this time 9/26 we are still asking ourselves questions. Why?! What exactly is wrong? Where and when can we get it fixed? How are we going to pay for it? How much will it cost? How are we going to pay for anything? As the costs of running this business continue to add up we have no way of using the truck to support it. Currently, Brandon and a very close friend have spent days trying to fix the problem with the truck themselves.
  • We seek funds to fix a problem we are struggling with financially and emotionally to conquer on our own. All money raised will go to commissary rent, bills, insurance, taxes and a mechanic. In the meantime, we are desperately thinking of ways to generate income, pay mounting bills and fix the truck ourselves. I am humbly asking for your help and donations. We are digging deep and doing a lot of soul searching for optimism, hope and the lessons we are getting out of this. Thank you for taking the time.
