As we all know, the world is in a state of turmoil with the Coronavirus emergency. We now find ourselves in deep desperation trying to figure out how to save the cafe.
Of course when the government suggested closing for the welfare of the people and our staff, we decided that was the best thing we could do to help. It may have been one of the most difficult decisions we have had to take, but after putting our tears and pain aside - we felt we were doing the right thing.
The pain and tears come from the uncertainty of what will happen when this lockdown passes. Without being open, we are unable to earn the money we need to pay our staff, our rent, and the mounting bills.
Since October 2019 the neighborhood and cafe has experienced a tremendous slow down. That meant that we have not been able to take home any salary ourselves since October. We have put all our personal savings in, and now there’s nothing left.
The idea of doing a crowdfunding was also tough decision because we know so many people are facing similar problems, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
All we want is to see the cafe open again so that we can continue to spread love, and celebrate life together.
We understand that money is tight, but if there is any way you can help - we would be forever grateful.
Our cafe was built on love, and everyday for the past seven years we have been spreading love to all of our local regulars and guests from around the world. All we want now is to open again and see all of your beautiful smiling faces and share our love with you.
