Please help save Floppy
Donation protected
On Monday evening, Floppy was attacked by a pitbull mix. All of her skin was ripped away from her muscles on her left shoulder area. I was in hopes that maybe it wasn't as bad as it looked. And it wasn't, it was way worse. So she was rushed in to surgery. After about a 6 hour surgery to reattach all the blood vessels, and skin, the vet had informed me that she still has a really long recovery process ahead. Including 24 hour around the clock supervision, extensive wound care, pain management as well as several follow up vet visits.
I've been with floppy since the day she was born almost 5 years ago. She is everything to me. I have neurological hearing loss in both ears and she somehow knows that I rely on her so much for hearing . So she is also a working dog. She is such a sweet mellow, and unique dog.
We have been through so much together. I would do anything for her. The vet gave me the option of putting her to sleep, but i couldn't do that With out giving her the chance to recover. She is such an amazingly strong and resilient dog.
With these extremely difficult times, I am struggling with not having a stable place for us to live, nor do i have the ability financially to cover all of her vet expenses. As well as those to come.
We are in hopes that with the help of donations, floppy Will be able to fully recover and will be able to walk without pain and discomfort. As of now, her surgery already cost $2550.00, plus with the expected vet visits and possible future surgeries, i have no way of providing her with the care she needs and deserves, without help. Thank you for your support.
Anything helps and is greatly appreciated.
