Save Small Family Business from Forced Closure.

WE ARE PRAYING FOR A MIRACLE! I must say starting a Go Fund Me Page is really a last resort Emergency. As many know, it is very difficult for me to ask for help. Many of our customers suggested I start this page but it was only after I prayed about it that I made the decision. We have had such an outpouring of support from our community and that led me to the conclusion, if we lose our small Family business, the community will also suffer from the loss along with us. Therefore, I must set my pride aside and ask for assistance. We have been in a 5 year legal battle with the owner of the property we lease for our Small Family owned Plant Nursery and Home Store. We were victorious in our first 2 court appearances but unfortunately the third time was not a charm for us. The judge ruled against us and we have to vacate by January 31st.

 

We moved to the property in 2006 and I signed a legal Lease Purchase agreement with the owner of the property in 2007. We have spent close to a million dollars of our hard earned money on this property with the huge amount of improvements it needed. After we have paid for all of the improvements and made numerous requests to finalize the purchase , the landlord has decided he will not sell the property to me.

 

We need to file an appeal by December 24, 2021 and unfortunately after all of the money we have spent on the property and the 5 years of legal expenses we Do Not Have enough money to continue fighting. We will also have to post a cash bond ( amount unknown at this time) in order to stay on the property during the appeals process. Therefore we are asking for assistance to help in this ongoing legal battle.

 

This is our family business, my 2 grandchildren (ages 10 and 13) call this their 2nd home, they have grown up here helping customers. To say we are heartbroken is an understatement. We poured all of our money and energy into this property that we expected to Buy and it is devastating to have it all taken away. We Desperately need a MIRACLE! It has been our Pleasure to Serve our Customers in our Community and Across the Country for over 28 years and we Pray God will make a way for us to Continue to Serve our Customers.
