Help disabled individuals get back to work

CHASE Inc is a day program providing work services to individuals with disabilities. We have been providing services to the community since 2006. Sometime over the weekend our covered work trailer exactly like the one shown in the picture was stolen from our office location. This trailer is what the individuals with disabilities use to go around to approximately 30 community sites to pick up paper and other confidential information to bring back to the work site to shred. This trailer is what they use in order to make money. Without it, numerous individuals will now be without work until we can raise the funds to replace it. Due to the confidentiality of the material being picked up it, it ABSOLUTELY has to be transported in a covered, locked trailer, not just in the back of a truck or other open trailer. Our program is one of the only ones on the north coast that has ALWAYS paid the individuals minimum wage or better for working. We don’t believe in sub minimum wage just because they have a disability. So they will be losing out on a substantial paycheck. We are reaching out to our community members and anyone that can help. Our day program was able to stay open and barely stay afloat through the COVID pandemic because we continued to pay the individuals even though they weren’t actually working. If we hadn’t, they would have lost their homes and would have been on the streets. We just couldn’t allow that. Therefore as a company we just cannot afford to replace this trailer right now. We just hope that who ever took this trailer needed it more than 15 individuals with disabilities. Please help if you can ❤️ They will all thank you!
