Help Save Sam's Life! #SaveSam
On February 8, 2021, 10 year old Sam Johnson was diagnosed with an extremely aggressive brain tumor called DIFFUSE INTRINSIC
PONTINE GLIOMA (DIPG). The tumor is located at the base of Sam's brain and affects his sense of balance and ability to walk, it also
impacts his chewing and swallowing and causes facial weakness, speech and memory loss.
This precious beautiful child URGENTLY needs your help!
Samuel prefers to be called Sam, he is a sweet, kind and thoughtful boy who loves animals (especially dogs), rainbow sprinkled cupcakes and Star Wars.
So far this awful tumor has reduced Sam to the full time use of a wheel chair, as he can no longer stand on his own. Additionally, Sam suffers from terrible head aches, nausea, and issues with his speech. Ultimately, as the tumor progresses Sam will eventually experience the loss of his memory.
To date, Sam has received radiation treatments from UCSF which initially shrunk his tumor slightly. Unfortunately, Sam's tumor has started to grow again and his parents are desperately seeking to get him into an Immuno Drug Therapy Trial, where hopefully, Sam's own immune system will kick in and give him more time and maybe even help eliminate his tumor all together.
Sam is an only child, and as you can well imagine his parents, Nia and Eric Johnson, are devastated at the thought of losing their beloved son. Sam's Mom, Nia, has had to stop working in order to take care of Sam full time. Mean while the hospital bills and living expenses continue to mount The request for help is URGENT and needed NOW!
Nia and Eric would be most grateful for any and all donations on behalf of their son, no matter how small. Most importantly Nia and Eric would be eternally grateful for your ongoing prayers for Sam.
