Update, June 18, 2022:
It is with the heaviest heart imaginable that I make this update. My mom, Niki, passed suddenly and unexpectedly this week on June 15, at our home. We are devastated but will continue to honor her memory and build on the dreams she had for our property and for the market in general, to develop affordable and innovative housing solutions for those who need them most.

Dear family & friends out in TV land,
Hello from all of us on Team Gertee! We hope everyone is staying relatively safe, healthy and and happy. This past year has been full of some tremendous challenges for sure. As some of you might know, last fall (October 2019) our family made the decision to purchase an RV and 1.5 acres of raw land with no well, septic, electric, or access.
Since then we have been able to build a 16ft teepee, a kid-sized 6ft Gertee Playhouse, a greenhouse, hugelkultur garden beds, and several outbuildings. We used mostly lumber from our property or scrapped. We stayed afloat all last winter, built out of pocket all summer, and planned to use stimulus money to build a fully insulated 24ft Gertee Cabin. World events certainly changed the curves of our road, and now winter is coming full-speed.
I remain optimistic, but I'm afraid if we don't ask for the help we need sooner than later, we face losing everything we worked to achieve here. Thank you so much for any consideration, anything at all helps move us closer to paying off our land and building a permanent home.
I am humbled and pretty much in awe of the scope of the economic crisis people are facing on a global scale, but I am hopeful with support we can avoid falling through the cracks and invest in a place where my children can weather the storm of an uncertain future.
