Please help Meo

This is Meo. Before his attack.
On Saturday 11/16/19 my moms cat Meo was viciously attacked by a neighbors dog that was running loose. Even though Meo was mauled, he was able to get away but was not found for 2 days until he suddenly appeared on the back porch. He was breathing heavy and lethargic so my mom rushed him to the animal hospital. Once he was seen, we learned the true extent of his injuries. Meo has 3 broken ribs, lacerations all over him, an exposed lung which required emergency surgery to cover it with mesh to keep it from leaking. He is being closely monitored at the vet still and the veterinarian said she has never worked on a more wounded cat. Meo is showing signs of severe anxiety and won’t eat for the vet because of it. We are hoping he comes home soon. His vet bill is over $4000 so far. We are so thankful that Meo survived this horrible ordeal but his medical bill is much larger than expected so I created this page to help my mom.
