Miguel Hernandez (Meezy), the founder of Astoria Music Collective needs help from the community he loves dearly. Miguel was rushed to ER on Christmas Eve with intense debilitating pain, which was result of sepsis infection from a burst abscess. After being admitted he was then transferred to Mt. Sinai's upper Manhattan hospital campus for further treatments. At present we wait patiently for this infection to pass, the pain to pass, and then further investigation as to the cause of it all.
As a self employed, founder of a not for profit/ artists' collective, insurance is something of a luxury and not provided. We anticipate some hefty bills coming from this still continued hospital stay, as well as the loss of income now and while his body recovers. This community has come out in such kindness with concerns for Miguel at this time, showing how much loved he truly is. He loves community, and providing the light and spaces for artists/ musicians to shine. Any help is so appreciated! Please share this link!
