Please help me put my son, Travis Spencer to rest.

This campaign goes out to you with profound sorrow and extremely heavy hearts,as we mourn the loss of a beloved son. On or about November 26, 2019 Travis Spencer suddenly and unexpectedly passed away at his home. He left behind his mother, Kelly Spencer and his brother, Nathaniel Spencer.

Using the words of the coroner upon his arrival to Kelly's home to pronounce Travis's death that dreadful morning, "...it appears as though he may have been dead for a few days...". His mother was horrified and immediately fell into a trance-like state of shock! His family members are beside themselves with grief and unanswered questions. As of this date, the cause of Travis' death still, has yet to be determined.

Travis was a wonderful, loving and caring son to his mother Kelly and brother to Nathaniel.  He was also a grandson, nephew, uncle, cousin, a dear friend to so very many and a member of his community. His bright smile, intellect, kind and giving nature, boyish laugh, and infectious charm would light up any room. The family is thankful for anything you can do to help them out at this terrible time.  Any amount you are able to donate will be warmly welcomed.

Travis loved his family and friends very much. He genuinely  loved the outdoors, hiking and taking long walks. Fall was definitely his favorite season.  Travis was passionate about fitness and he especially loved animals. When he was a very young child, he wanted to be a paleontologist-it was so adorable hearing a small child saying such a big word. As he got older, Travis spoke of becoming a veterinarian and at one point, had begun taking  courses at a local college. He was a truly unique and memorable individual.

In addition to mourning the devastating loss of her son, Kelly is struggling every single day living in the home where she found her son on that frigid November morning. That vision is forever ingrained in Kelly's mind but what is worse is having to relive it everyday. Just knowing in her heart that Travis died all alone days before she found him, is almost more than her own heart can handle. No amount you are willing to donate to this grieving family is too small and is greatly appreciated.

We still don't even have him in an urn, but at least Travis's grandfather, Charles Rodrigue, built him a box until the urns we've repeatedly ordered from Amazon come in.

Although it was a question Kelly Spencer never had to answer about her son, some people often wondered why Travis always lived with his mother. From before he was even born , Travis didn't want to leave his mother! He was almost 2 weeks past his due date of November 23rd and yet he still didn't come. After 42 hours of labor, taken by c-section,they finally made him leave her and that was the only time he left her until the day he died. She is devastated , which isn't nearly strong enough a word to describe the feelings Kelly is experiencing.

Travis was a highly intelligent young man, yet what was unknown to most is that he silently suffered from mental illness. It was not openly obvious by his functional demeanor and the outgoing personality you just couldn't get enough of, that's for sure. Most likely, separation anxiety is why he could never leave home. He used to say he loved his mother more than he loved himself and the same went for his brother.

Ironically, if the coroner's hunch is correct, Travis died on November 23rd, 2019...Travis lived at home from his due date to the date he died. His due date was November 23rd, 1987- He died on November 23rd, 2019. Superstition at work?

Travis positively touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to meet him. He loved making people laugh and his natural charm projected kindness onto everyone who knew him. His laughter was contagious. Travis dedicated his life to making others happy.  He would gladly give the shirt off his back if you needed it more than him. He always wanted those around him to feel special-more important...You will never meet a man better qualified for that job more than Travis Charles Spencer. He definitely left his mark on this world, and made it a brighter place in which to live.

We are all devastated by their loss and realize that the family was not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service. They were lucky enough to be able to borrow money for a cremation, but unable to have any service performed.  Picture boards were made by family members and a short video clip was played over and over of Travis' school pictures throughout the years with a couple of extra photos.

Our sudden loss of Travis reminds us all to cherish the times we are fortunate enough to have with our loved ones. In memory of the loyal and generous young man Travis was, please join us in giving comfort and support to his family during this time of desperation and grief. Any donation or assistance you can offer will be appreciated more than you may realize

Travis is deeply and sorely missed more than words can even begin to describe. We may have lost an incredible human being, but Heaven gained a wonderful angel.

We have started this Go Fund Me for Travis Spencer's cremation and celebration of life, as well as, to help support the family's future needs. In addition, we are hoping to raise enough to help pay back what was borrowed help to get his mother back on her feet and finally put her Dear son, Travis, to rest.

Please consider donating if you are able to do so. Remember  we are so very grateful for every single donation during this difficult time.

As much as we greatly appreciate any and all support for this emotionally and financially drained family, if you are unable to donate it would mean a lot if you could share Travis's funeral fundraiser with others who may have known him.

We are touched by the anticipated generosity of any donation, prayer or message you can possibly offer. Please know that no deed or donation is too small.  Thank you in advance for helping to give Travis the memorial he deserves and to honor his memory. Also to say our last goodbyes, and finally allow Travis to be at peace.

With much love and appreciation...
