Please help me get my son a new scooter!

This is my eldest son, Jack, on his scooter. His pride and joy, his freedom, his everything really. He saved really hard to get the money together and finally got to buy what he wanted in January of this year. Last week it stopped working, completely died, won't even turn on. According to the scooter service people, it won't be covered under warranty. Jack is devastated, I am devastated for him and I just can't afford to buy him a new one. I wish I could but I can't. I wouldn't normally ask for people's help but I'm not sure what else to do so I thought it was worth a shot so thank you for taking the time to read our story. I don't want to go all 'woes me' on you all because I know there's lots of people doing it tough out there but seeing Jack so low without his scooter breaks my heart. I have two boys - Jack,13 and Kai,8 and they lost their Dad last November. He had stomach cancer and although he put up a brave fight unfortunately he lost the battle in the end. The boys are doing remarkably well all things considered and I am so proud of them both and how brave they have been. It was so great to see Jack excited about something again and when he got his scooter in January he loved his new found freedom and was always out on it with his mates, having fun, enjoying life again after what has been a tough couple of years. He is a little lost again now his scooter has gone and I'd love nothing more than to be able to get him another one and see him smiling again!
