Please help Kristin Fight Her Battle with Cancer
Donation protected
Kristin was diagnosed with breast cancer in February. She went to the doctor for a routine physical and part of the physical was a mammogram. Kristin received the shock of her life when she was told that she had several masses in her left breast. She has gone through two months of tests including a bone scan, CT scan, blood work, echocardiogram, MRIs and multiple biopsies. She has recently started chemotherapy and will undergo 12 weeks of weekly chemotherapy and then will have 8 weeks of a different type of chemotherapy that will occur every other week. After chemotherapy is completed, she will have a double mastectomy which will keep her off of work for 4-6 weeks. During her chemotherapy, she will be missing at least two days a week of work depending on how her body handles the chemotherapy. So far she has been dealing with extreme fatigue and bone pain. Kristin is a bartender at a local bar and works late nights every day but Monday. This is a difficult schedule to keep anyway but it is so difficult to do when going through cancer treatment. If she develops any infections or her immune system is compromised to the point of not being able to be around so many people, she will be unable to work. Because this is a cash only job, this makes her situation very scary. She is single and trying to keep up with her treatment and daily living obligations. Any help would be so appreciated!
