Please help with medical costs for little Charky

I am adding an update to this fundraiser, and editing the amount, because, unfortunately, this little kitten went to sleep today. His injuries were too great for him to heal.

My total vet bill is $250. Any amount received over that will go toward the veterinary care of his sibling, whom we are trying hard to trap.

Neighbors, I am asking for your help to pay for medical care for Charky.

Charky was trapped in Pinole, because he was noticed in someone’s yard with a huge wound on his neck. He was very elusive, it took more than 10 days to trap him.  Daniel, the man who found him in his yard, was able to trap him, and he has worked very hard during this whole project.

The vet said he is not sure if he can fix what is now an abscess and terrible infection, and it looks like his paws were involved, and one of his eyes is mostly closed. He is extremely underweight.

He needs to spend three days at the vet’s office after his surgery today, and then the plan is for him to go in with a foster mom here in El Cerrito, a friend who also works in TNR and cat rescue.

The initial estimate for this surgery and after care is $800. That is the minimal amount we will have to spend, and it is expected to be more over time, given the severity of his condition.

We are also trying to get his sibling from the same location, so I am including about $150 for him, assuming he is healthy. 

I know this is a difficult time for all of us, so I deeply appreciate any help you can offer for this poor little baby.
